There are 3 main types of 12 and 24 Volt DC Powered Hydraulic Power Units

1. Hydraulic Power Unit with P and T Ports (For External Control)

These units are engineered for integration into systems where hydraulic direction is managed by a downstream control valve or manifold.

• Features: Provides a high-pressure 9/16" UNO Pressure (P) outlet and a dedicated Tank (T) return port .
• Benefits: Allows for the continuous supply of oil to external valve banks, providing 5.0 or 9.0 Lt/min flow for versatile multi-function operations .
• Ideal Uses: Suitable for stationary industrial machinery Hoppers and Shutes, or mobile equipment such as small cranes where a manual or radio-controlled valve bank is already installed.

2. Hydraulic Power Unit with Single-Acting (S/A) Solenoid Valve

Designed for "Power Up / Gravity Down" applications, this configuration is the industry standard for hoist and tipping systems.

• Features: Features a 12V or 24V DC motor paired with an integrated single-acting solenoid valve .
• Benefits: The motor and pump only operate when driving the load upward, while the solenoid is energised to allow the load to lower via gravity, significantly reducing battery draw .
• Ideal Uses: Perfect for small tipper trailers, utility hoists, and tail-lifts where the weight of the load facilitates the return stroke .

3. Hydraulic Power Unit with Double-Acting (D/A) Solenoid Valve

Essential for applications requiring powered movement in both directions to ensure positive control and positioning.

• Features: Equipped with a 4-way, 3-position directional control valve to power both the extension and retraction of a cylinder.
• Benefits: Ensures the cylinder can be retracted even under zero-load conditions, providing precision and safety in critical levelling tasks.
• Ideal Uses: The primary choice for Hydraulic Landing Legs, tilt-tray slides, and recovery vehicle stabilisers.
