Technicians Advice

The coil MUST match your control voltage – a 12 V coil on 24 V burns out in seconds, and a DC coil will buzz and cook on AC. These are the coils for the MSV screw-in cartridges; the coil slides over the cartridge stem and is held by the nut – do not overtighten it or you crush the bobbin. A coil that hums but will not shift the spool is usually low voltage or a stuck cartridge, not a dead coil. Keep the DIN plug gasket in place so water stays out.
