Technicians Advice

The coupling half joins the motor shaft to the pump – fit it square and to the right depth so the pump is not end-loaded or side-loaded, or you will chew out the pump bushes. The foot-mount bracket carries the unit’s weight and kills vibration; bolt it to a solid face, not thin sheet, and use lock washers – these units shake themselves loose if you skimp on the mount.
