Technicians Advice

The screw-in hand-pump cartridge is your get-home insurance – if power is lost you can still raise or lower the load by hand at 2 cc per stroke (slow, but it works). Prime it before you rely on it, keep the check valves clean, and do not force it – if it will not build pressure the check balls are usually dirty, not worn. Fit one to any unit where a stuck load is a safety problem.
