Technicians Advice

The starting switch (solenoid relay) takes the heavy motor current so your dash switch or pendant only has to carry a light trigger current. Match the voltage to the pack. Mount it where it stays dry and can shed heat, keep the big lugs torqued and corrosion-free, and run a proper earth – most “motor will not start” calls are a tired relay or a bad earth, not the motor. Carry a spare on any fleet vehicle.
