External gear pumps are the workhorse of hydraulics - two meshing gears in a precision housing, no valve plate, nothing to set, and they will run for years on clean oil. We stock two European ranges across four frame sizes.

Vivoil is the Italian premium line, built in Bologna, and covers group 0 (0.16cc) right through to group 3 (86.9cc) including the cast iron end plate build and the bearing carrier version for belt and chain drives. Caproni is the European value line on the same mounting standards - group 1, 2 and 3, in clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation, on European 4 bolt DIN, American SAE, and the German KHD, IHC and 105mm spigot patterns.

Which group? Group 0 for lubrication and metering. Group 1 for small power packs, tailgates and tippers up to about 15 L/min. Group 2 for most tipper, log splitter and PTO work, 15 to 55 L/min. Group 3 for semi trailer hoists, cranes and drill rigs, up to 125 L/min. Pick the group first, then the mount and shaft that matches your drive.
