Hi Lo Log Splitter Pumps to suit, 5Hp or 10 Hp
These are high-quality, cast iron hydraulic Hi Lo log splitter pumps. This pump is a Hi-Lo unit, which means it closes your blade quickly, then produces maximum PSI to split the wood, using minimum HP compared to a gear pump.
It is rated to 3600 RPM max. We have two sizes. An 11.3 cc 10 Gpm, This pump requires a minimum of 5 HP
or a 36 Lpm or a 17.2CC, 14 GPM / 51LPM, and this pump requires a minimum of 10 HP. Any less HP risks not making maximum Pressure resulting in less tonnage & the possibility of stalling the engine.
Please note, we have two sizes in each HP. Please choose the smaller cc in low size if you are cutting very hard wood.
This will only slow the low side cutting speed marginally, & will help avoid your engine struggling.
The 5 Hp Hi Lo pump will produce 11.3 cc of oil per rpm which equates to 31Lpm @ 2800rpm, or 10 Gpm / 36 Lpm @ 3200rpm.
The 10 Hp Hi Lo pump will produce 17.2 cc of oil per rpm which equates to 36 Lpm @ 2800rpm or 14gpm / 51Lpm @ 3200rpm
As it touches the wood, it will drop to Lo function & will produce up to 3000psi / 200 bar
The four bolt holes have 50mm centers & the round 'spigot' measures 45mm.
NOTE; Petrol, Diesel engines stated HP is taken at the flywheel, you need to take 25% of the stated figure for true HP
We can supply an adaptor plate which will make this pump compatible with a Group 2 DIN mount for ease in joining to a bell housing/motor.
1" SUCTION BARB
1/2" BSP tapered pressure port.
The shaft is a 1/2". We sell a 1/2" pump-side coupling.
