The smallest VMDR body — 20 L/min through 1/4" BSPP ports — sized for power packs, small gear pumps, pilot circuits and single-ram machines. Direct acting, adjustable across the spring range, Italian made.
Use the dropdowns above to pick your pressure spring — choose the spring so your working pressure lands in the middle of its range, not at either end.
| Ports | Max Flow | Spring Range | Part Number |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1/4 inch BSPP | 20 L/min | 10 to 40 bar | VMDR1-140C1 |
| 1/4 inch BSPP | 20 L/min | 20 to 110 bar | VMDR1-140C2 |
| 1/4 inch BSPP | 20 L/min | 30 to 210 bar | VMDR1-140C3 |
| 1/4 inch BSPP | 20 L/min | 40 to 350 bar | VMDR1-140C4 |
Set it with a gauge, never by feel — dead-head the circuit slowly against a gauge, wind to target, lock the locknut. On a small power pack the relief is usually protecting the pump itself: set it 10-15% above working pressure and no higher. Springs are most stable mid-range — pick the spring so your setting lands in its middle third. A relief that constantly passes oil is a design problem, not a setting problem: it turns the tank into a kettle.
