The Badestnost Z50 is a heavy-duty, European-made monoblock directional control valve built for reliable performance in open and closed centre hydraulic systems.

This two-spool version lets you independently control two hydraulic functions at the same time — such as lift and tilt on a front-end loader, a slasher or mower deck, or any combination of two cylinders and motors on agricultural and construction equipment.

Rated for continuous operation at 40 L/min with a nominal maximum capacity of 50 L/min, and built to handle system pressures up to 315 bar (4,600 psi), this valve is a dependable choice for demanding mobile plant applications.

How It Works

Each spool has its own spring-return lever giving you three-position control — push or pull to direct oil to your cylinder or motor, and release to spring back to the neutral (centre) position, locking the load in place. Both levers operate independently so you can control two functions at once or individually.

A built-in adjustable pressure relief valve is factory set to 180 bar and protects your system from pressure spikes. A load check valve on the P port prevents unintended load drift when both levers are in neutral.

This 2-spool model is also available with individual load check valves per spool, which prevents one circuit from back-feeding into another — ideal where two functions share a common pressure supply but need to hold their loads independently.

Float Function — Loader and Attachment Applications

An optional Float spool is available on one or both levers. The float function adds a fourth lever position — beyond the standard up, centre, and down positions — where the work ports are opened to tank. This allows the attached implement (such as a loader bucket, mower deck, or slasher) to rise and fall freely with the contours of the ground without operator input.

The float position is held by a detent, so the operator does not need to hold the lever. To release float, simply pull the lever back through centre. This feature is particularly popular on tractors and skid-steer loaders where ground-following attachments are used.
