Technicians Advice

Fit the coupling, never hammer it. A 7/8 inch parallel keyed shaft takes the coupling with a light interference or a slip fit and a grub screw on the flat - hammer blows land straight on the front bearing.

Group 3 moves real oil - size the suction to match. Full-bore suction, short run, no elbow on the inlet. Rattles cold, quiet warm = marginal suction.

It needs relief protection. No factory relief cover exists for group 3 - fit an inline or cartridge relief sized to your full flow.

12-month warranty on every pump. If you are identifying an existing pump, photograph every number cast or stamped on the body and the shaft end and send it through with your enquiry - gear pump part numbers are long and one letter changes the shaft or the rotation.
