The mid-size VMDR — 90 L/min through 1/2" BSPP — covers larger group 2 and group 3 gear pump circuits without stepping up to 3/4" plumbing. Direct acting, adjustable across the spring range, Italian made.
Use the dropdowns above to pick your pressure spring — choose the spring so your working pressure lands in the middle of its range, not at either end.
| Ports | Max Flow | Spring Range | Part Number |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1/2 inch BSPP | 90 L/min | 10 to 100 bar | VMDR90-120C1 |
| 1/2 inch BSPP | 90 L/min | 20 to 250 bar | VMDR90-120C2 |
| 1/2 inch BSPP | 90 L/min | 50 to 350 bar | VMDR90-120C3 |
Set it with a gauge, never by feel — and at 90 L/min, mind the plumbing: a relief valve is only as good as the line feeding it, so keep the tee close to the pump and full-bore. Set 10-15% above working pressure, spring setting in the middle third of its range, locknut done up. Relieving 90 L/min at 200 bar dumps about 30 kW into the oil — if the valve is working often, the circuit needs a redesign before the tank boils.
