BSP Tapered Female x BSP Tapered Female 45° Compact Elbow

An equal female-to-female 45° elbow – the piece you use to change direction between two male-ended lines or to turn a run off a port adaptor. Both ends are BSP tapered female, so it joins into standard BSPT plumbing found right across Aussie-built tippers, truck bodies, Kanga and Dingo loaders, Merlo, Manitou, JCB and general farm machinery.

Thread Standards

How to Choose

• Both ends are the same nominal size on an equal elbow – check the size you need against the chart.
• Female ends accept BSPT male fittings, bulkheads and male-ended tails.
• Compact body where a long-radius bend will not clear.

Technicians Advice

Both ends are tapered, so both want sealant – and both are easy to overdo. BSPT pulls up tight as the taper wedges, and a female casting is the part that splits if you keep going. Wind the tape with the thread, two threads back from the leading edge, and stop at the point where it goes solid rather than chasing another quarter turn. If it weeps, back it off and re-tape rather than nipping it harder.
