BSP Parallel Male x Metric Heavy (S) Male 90° Compact Elbow

BSPP one end, DIN 2353 heavy-series metric 24° cone the other, at 90°. The crossover for European hydraulics landing on British or Australian ports, on the heavy series where pressures are high.

Thread Standards

• BSP Parallel Male – BSPP to ISO 228. It seals on a bonded washer against the port face or on a 60° cone, never on the thread itself.
• Metric Heavy (S) Male – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, heavy series. It seals on the 24° cone and is built for higher pressures than the light series.

How to Choose

• Heavy (S) and Light (L) metric series share some thread sizes but not tube diameters or pressure ratings. Confirm which series the port is before ordering.
• Metric 24° sizes are quoted by tube outside diameter, not thread size.
• The BSPP end seals on a bonded washer; the metric end seals on its cone. Tape neither.

Where You’ll Find It

• BSP Parallel Male – Valve and manifold ports on Australian, British and Asian-built equipment, and most locally made hose ends. The default port thread on Australian truck and agricultural hydraulics.
• Metric Heavy (S) Male – European machinery on the pressure side, where working pressures exceed the light series rating.

Technicians Advice

Heavy series is specified because the line runs high pressure, so do not be tempted to make it fit with a light series part that happens to thread on. The thinner L-series wall is the part that lets go, and it usually does so under load rather than on the bench.
