Stucchi Connect-Under-Pressure Flat Face Couplers – APM Male & A-HD Female – ISO 16028

Finding it almost impossible to do up attachment line couplers? Here's the answer. The APM male and A-HD female flat face couplers are built for manual connection with high residual pressure in the circuit.

The APM male uses a triple valve system — a double internal pressure-release valve plus the flat face valve — so it connects easily with high trapped pressure on the male side, without fluid loss. The A-HD female is the evolution of flat face technology: it connects with residual pressure on the female side without releasing any fluid to the environment (the mating half must be free to drain).

These are the most common flat face sizes on Australian machines and are fully interchangeable with common ISO 16028 flat face couplers. Often only a male half is required — choose male half, female half, or a pair from the dropdowns.

Connect force with residual pressure

Fp (N) = Fi + (Pm × 5) — e.g. an APM13 with 20 MPa (3,000 psi) trapped: Fp = 190 + (20 × 5) = 290 N (about 29 kg of push).
