Ayrtec Flat Face Hydraulic Couplers - ISO 16028 - BSPP Threads

Genuine Ayrtec flat face (dry break) hydraulic quick couplers, available as a matched pair or as individual male and female halves — pick your configuration from the dropdown — one male and one female half, ready to fit. Manufactured to ISO 16028 (2006) and fully interchangeable with Faster 2FFI, Stucchi FIRG/A Series, DNP PLT4, Hansen QA, Ryco R110, Safeway FF49, CEJN x62, Parker FE/FF/FEM and Aeroquip FD89/FD49 couplers.

Flat mating faces wipe clean to keep dirt out of your oil, the non-spill design means virtually no fluid loss or air inclusion on connection, and the locking sleeve stops accidental disconnection. The go-to coupler on excavator, skid steer and attachment circuits across construction, agriculture and mining.

• Heat treated carbon steel body, zinc-nickel plated (passes 200-hour salt spray)

How to Choose

• Body size sets the flow, not the thread size. A 3/8" body with a 1/2" thread flows like a 3/8" coupler. Match the body to your circuit first, then pick the thread your hose ends need.
• Jump sizes (e.g. 1/2" body x 3/4" thread) save an adaptor when the hose fitting does not match the coupler body you need.
• Confirm size on an existing coupler by measuring the male tip diameter and checking it against the chart in the photos.
• Running a hydraulic hammer? Use screw-together couplers instead - sleeve-lock flat face couplers are not made for constant impulse loads.

Technicians Advice

Wipe both mating faces clean before every connection - the flat face design only keeps dirt out if the faces go together clean. Relieve residual pressure before connecting; heat soak on a parked attachment can build enough trapped pressure that a standard flat face will not click home, and forcing it damages the valving (if this happens regularly, fit connect-under-pressure couplers).

Check the locking sleeve rotates fully home, and replace any male half with a scored or pitted face early - a damaged male chews out the female seal and then you are replacing both halves.
