Quick hitch valves for excavator hitch circuits. Steel manifold block, 1/4″ BSPP ports, 11 L/min. Available as a complete built-and-tested valve with the cartridge, coil and LED DIN plug fitted, with or without a pressure reducing cartridge – or as the bare manifold block if you are rebuilding one.

The complete valves arrive built and tested – block, cartridge, coil and LED DIN plug all fitted. That is what you want if you are replacing a failed valve or fitting a hitch from scratch.
The manifold blocks are the bare steel body on its own. Buy one of those only if you are reusing a good cartridge and coil off an old valve, or building something custom.

Yes, if the hitch ram is rated below your machine’s system pressure – which on most excavators it is. The reducing cartridge takes a 350 bar supply and hands the hitch a controlled, lower pressure, so the ram and its seals are not seeing full system every time the hitch is operated. The standard version is the right choice only where the whole circuit already runs at or below 207 bar.
Fit the pressure reducing version unless you are certain the hitch ram is rated for full system pressure – a quick hitch failing open is one of the more serious things that can go wrong on an excavator, and the ram seals are the usual weak point. Wire the valve so the hitch is held closed by the mechanical lock and not by hydraulic pressure alone; the solenoid should release the lock, not hold the tool on. Check the safety interlock and the in-cab warning work before the machine goes back out, every time, and test the hitch with the bucket curled in and the boom low so a failure drops the tool safely. Keep the DIN plug seated and the gasket in place – these valves live in mud, and a wet connector gives you an intermittent hitch, which is worse than one that plainly does not work. If you are fitting a bare block, transfer the cartridge with new O-rings and torque it properly; the sealing lands are machined into the block and a nicked one means a new block.
