Not only this but as most filtration occurs on the return to tank side this contamination and debris is only removed AFTER it has already run through your system causing extra wear and shortening component lifespan.

By attaching a suction strainer to your suction barb, the strainer's tightly woven stainless steel mesh will help to alleviate this unnecessary wear by removing any particles larger than 149µm (micron) (0.149mm) directly from your oil reservoir.

This Suction Stainer comes with an inbuilt relief valve that will prevent oil starvation and or cavitation should it become clogged.
