• One assembled power unit: 3.0 kW 12 V DC motor (530A-F) with start solenoid, 3.7 cc pump, 10 L steel tank and the solenoid valve for the function chosen.

How to choose

• Choose the 3.0 kW when a 1.6 kW pack stalls or crawls under your load on 12 volt.
• Same function logic as all DC packs: gravity down = Single Acting; powered both ways = Double Acting; own valve = P and T.
• On 24 volt vehicles take the 4.0 kW 24 V unit instead – same money, more power, half the amps.

Technicians Advice

A 3 kW motor on 12 volt pulls over 300 amps at full load – treat the electrical side like a winch install: dedicated heavy cable both ways (earth back to the battery, not the chassis), the 500 A start solenoid, and a battery that can actually deliver it. These are S3 intermittent duty packs: work them a minute at a time and they last a decade; run them continuous and the motor cooks.

Size the battery cable to the run and torque the lugs – half the “weak pack” complaints are voltage drop, not hydraulics. Fill the tank with the rams RETRACTED, cycle twice, top up. Leave the factory relief setting alone unless you have a gauge on the port, and fit a magnetic drain plug on day one – there is no return filter on these.
