Hose Tail – Metric Light Male – Straight – Two-Piece Crimp-On

A light series metric 24° cone male on a straight crimp tail, for landing a hose into an L series port or swivel nut.

Mild steel body with a plated finish, manufactured to the standard listed above.

A two-piece crimp-on assembly is two separate parts: this tail (the stem) and a ferrule that crimps over the hose. The ferrule is not included. You need one ferrule per tail.

We sell them separately on purpose. Several different ferrule styles will fit, and the right one depends on the hose you are crimping onto, not just the size:

• FS‑R2 Multi‑Fit – 1‑wire, 2‑wire, M3K and MXT braided hose. One series covers the lot, so most jobs take this.
• FS‑R7 – thermoplastic 100R7 hose. Different outside diameter and crimp figure to braided hose.
• FS‑R14 – PTFE 100R14 hose with stainless braid.

Thread Standards

• Metric Light (L) Male – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, light series, seals on the 24° cone, normally with an O-ring captured in the cone

How to Choose

• A straight tail is the default. Only go to a bend when the hose would otherwise leave the port at an angle it does not like.
• Light (L) is the lower rated metric range.
• Male end – make sure the mating part can turn.

Technicians Advice

Check whether the mating cone carries a captured O-ring. If the old fitting had one and the new one does not, you have the wrong part, not a missing seal you can add.

• Metric Light (L) Male – European-built machinery – Liebherr, Wacker Neuson, Atlas, Sennebogen, Manitou – and imported tube assemblies. Light series suits return, drain and pilot lines.
