Choosing the right hydraulic motor is vital for keeping your machinery running smoothly and efficiently. Whether you are working in agriculture, construction, or food processing, understanding motor design ensures you get the best performance for your application.
Geroler hydraulic motors are an upgraded evolution of the Gerotor design. The key difference is the addition of hardened steel rollers between the gear teeth. These rollers allow internal components to roll against each other rather than slide, dramatically reducing friction and wear. The result is a motor that runs cooler, lasts longer, and delivers more precise low-speed torque than a standard Gerotor.
Like the Gerotor, the Geroler uses an inner rotor and outer ring gear arrangement where the inner gear has one fewer tooth than the outer ring. As hydraulic fluid flows through the motor, expanding and contracting pockets convert fluid pressure into rotation. The critical improvement is the hardened rollers seated between the gear teeth — these eliminate the metal-on-metal sliding contact of the Gerotor design, creating a tighter seal and significantly higher mechanical efficiency.
Our range includes the HR, HW, MH, MLHH, MLHR, MR, RL, and RW series. These motors are the most widely used orbital motors in the Australian market, covering the broadest range of agricultural, construction, and industrial applications. They are direct replacements for Danfoss OMR, Eaton Char-Lynn S Series, Parker TC Series, and White WR/WD Series motors.
Geroler motors are the sweet spot between cost and performance — more capable than a Gerotor, more affordable than a Disc Valve motor. You will commonly find them powering:
| Feature | Gerotor | Geroler | Disc Valve |
|---|---|---|---|
| Duty Cycle | Light Duty | Medium Duty | Heavy Duty |
| Efficiency | Moderate | High | Very High |
| Contact Type | Sliding | Rolling | Low-Leakage Disc |
| Best For | Budget projects | Smoothness & Reliability | Extreme Power & Load |
