The proven workhorse 12V DC hydraulic power pack fitted to tippers, tail lifts, hoists, crane trucks and trailers all over Australia. 1.6 kW motor, 2.1 cc pressure-balanced pump, oil delivery 5 litres a minute at 110 bar (1,600 psi) and up to 200 bar (3,000 psi) at reduced flow. Ways to buy this power pack:

• P and T (Pressure and Tank ports) – you run your own control valve. The pack supplies oil to the P port and takes the return on T. Pairs perfectly with our 1 spool micro-switch valve.
• Single Acting – for tipper hoists and trailers: pump drives the load up, the solenoid lowering valve brings it down under gravity.
• Double Acting – a Cetop 3 solenoid valve drives the cylinder both ways: ramps, tailgates, stabiliser legs.
• 2 x Double Acting – two independent double acting circuits from one pack: mini cranes, tow trucks, stabiliser plus tilt.

How to choose

• Tipping trailer or hoist that gravity can lower: Single Acting.
• Load needs powering BOTH ways (ramps, legs, tailgates): Double Acting.
• Two separate circuits: 2 x Double Acting. Running your own valve bank: P and T.
• Tank size: add up your cylinder volume and leave 20-30% air space – a twin-ram tipper wants 7.5-10 L, a single ram 3.8-5.7 L.

Technicians Advice

These are S3 intermittent duty packs: work them a minute at a time and they last a decade; dead-head them continuously and the motor cooks in a season. Wire them with proper cable – on 12V the pack pulls serious current under load, so size the battery cable to the run and torque the lugs; half the “weak pack” complaints we get are voltage drop, not hydraulics.

Fill the tank with the rams RETRACTED, run the function twice, top up. The relief valve comes factory pre-set – leave it alone unless you have a gauge on the P port, and never wind it up to “fix” a slow lift: slow is a flow or voltage problem, not a pressure one. And put a magnetic drain plug in the tank on day one – there is no return filter on these.
