Wash down and softwash guns for high flow, low pressure work. Softwashing a roof or rinsing down a shed is a volume job, not a pressure job. These guns are built around a large bore and a 1/2 inch inlet so they pass the flow a softwash pump or a wash down line produces without choking it.
Do not put a high pressure gun on a softwash line - the restriction wastes the pump and the result is a dribble. Check the inlet thread and whether the gun comes with a lance or nozzle fitted, since some are supplied as a complete assembly. Stainless bodies are worth it wherever bleach or chemical is going through the gun, because brass will not last on softwash duty.
