
An offline cooler is a complete cooling loop in its own right. It carries its own pump and motor, pulls oil from the tank, pushes it through the core and puts it back, so the core never sees a pressure spike from the working circuit. It also runs whenever you switch it on, whether the machine is working or idling. Power packs, crushing plant, presses and injection moulding are where these end up.

Can I tee an offline loop into a pressure line? No. It draws from the tank and returns to the tank. Plumb it into a pressure line and you will destroy the pump or the core.
Will it cool while the machine is stopped? Yes, and that is the point. A return line cooler only works while the machine is moving oil.
Screw pump or gerotor? Screw pumps run quietly and suit thicker oil. Gerotor is the straightforward choice for normal industrial oil.
What size do I need? Selection is done on the machine's heat load, not off a catalogue number. Call us with the pump flow, working pressure, tank size and oil temperature.
If there is cooling water on site, compare a water cooled heat exchanger as well.
