Power Unit Mounting Bracket and Weld-On Tank Flange

The two ways to hang a compact hydraulic power unit: the PUMT steel mounting bracket that carries any 130 mm centre-manifold power unit off a wall, chassis rail or frame, and the FLST120 weld-on flange that lets you mount the power unit head directly on your own steel tank.

Technicians Advice

Mount DC power packs with the motor HORIZONTAL and the pick-up submerged at every angle the machine will see – a pack that runs fine on the bench will suck air on a tipper at full raise if the mount puts the pick-up high. Rubber-isolate the PUMT bracket bolts on anything that vibrates (trailers especially) or the manifold bolts work loose; spring washers are not enough on corrugated roads. Welding in an FLST120: weld it in BEFORE the tank is oiled, purge properly, and dress the inside face flat so the O-ring seals – and screw a bolt in the holes first so spatter stays out of the threads.
