Lenflex R2 two wire compact braid Pressure Washer Hose - 3/8" - 6,000 psi - Grey non-marking

This is the hose that goes on a working machine. Two wire braid, 6,000 psi, and a grey non-marking cover that will not leave black scuff marks across a client's paving, render or truck panels. Rated to 155°C so it handles hot wash as well as cold.

How to choose

• Measure the run you actually need and add a couple of metres for movement. Every extra metre costs a little pressure at the gun.
• Check both ends against the machine and the gun before ordering. A 3/8" female swivel and a 3/8" BSP male is the common trade combination, but not the only one.
• Grey non-marking cover is the right choice anywhere the hose gets dragged over paint, tiles or polished concrete. Black cover marks them.
• If you are running above 6,000 psi or over hot water, tell us - this hose is not the one.

Technicians Advice

• Rate the hose to the unloader, not the plate on the machine. An unloader dumping to bypass can spike well above the machine's rated pressure. This hose is good for 6,000 psi continuous - check what your unloader actually does before you go smaller.
• Most hoses die at the ferrule, not in the middle. The failure is almost always a fold 50 mm behind the fitting from dragging the hose round a corner. Bend restrictors on both ends are the cheapest life extension you can buy.
• Do not coil tighter than about 150 mm radius. Tight winding work-hardens the wire braid. Use the reel, not your elbow.
• Swivel on the gun, male on the machine. That is what stops the hose corkscrewing as you work around the job.
• Never clamp-repair a burst wire hose. Once the braid lets go the length is scrap. A barb and clamp on 6,000 psi water is a genuine injection-injury risk.
• Long runs cost you pressure. Budget roughly 5% loss per 15 m at full flow. If the gun feels soft at 60 m, that is the hose, not the pump - step up a bore rather than winding the unloader.
• UV is what kills the cover. Store it on a reel out of the sun and you will get roughly double the life of one that lives in an open ute tray.
