JIC 37° Male x SAE O-Ring Boss Male 90° Compact Elbow

Thread Standards

• JIC 37° Male – SAE J514 37° flare. It seals metal-to-metal on the 37° cone, so it takes no tape at all.
• SAE O-Ring Boss Male (UNO/UNF) – SAE J1926 / ISO 11926 straight thread O-ring boss. It seals on an O-ring squeezed against the port spotface, not on the thread.

How to Choose

• The ORB end suits a machined boss with a spotface. A tapered port is the wrong home for it.
• Adjustable versions let you clock the outlet. This one seats in a fixed orientation.
• Check the O-ring material suits the fluid before winding it in.

Technicians Advice

Lubricate the boss O-ring with clean system oil before fitting and check the spotface is free of burrs. A sharp edge slices the O-ring on the way past, and you will not see the damage once it is home - just a slow seep that appears when it warms up.

Where You’ll Find It

• JIC 37° Male – Hose ends and ports on imported US and Asian machinery – Caterpillar, John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Bobcat, Kubota, Takeuchi.
• SAE O-Ring Boss Male (UNO/UNF) – Cylinder end caps, pump and valve bosses on US-built plant. Common on Australian-assembled cylinders too, where it is usually called UNO.

• JIC 37° Male – SAE J514 / ISO 8434-2 37° flare. Parker call this series Triple-Lok. The industrial cousin of the AN 37° flare used in aviation and motorsport.
• SAE O-Ring Boss Male (UNO/UNF) – SAE J1926 / ISO 11926 straight thread O-ring boss. Also written ORB, SAE ORB or UNO. Thread form is UN/UNF.

Parker, Gates, Aeroquip and Ryco all manufacture to these same standards under their own part numbering, so a fitting built to the standard above will mate with theirs.
