A JIC swivel female on a 90° compact crimp tail. The tight right angle for when the hose has to turn square with almost no room.

Mild steel body with a plated finish, manufactured to the standard listed above.

This is the tail only – ferrules are sold separately

A two-piece crimp-on assembly is two separate parts: this tail (the stem) and a ferrule that crimps over the hose. The ferrule is not included. You need one ferrule per tail.

We sell them separately on purpose. Several different ferrule styles will fit, and the right one depends on the hose you are crimping onto, not just the size:

• FS‑R2 Multi‑Fit – 1‑wire, 2‑wire, M3K and MXT braided hose. One series covers the lot, so most jobs take this.
• FS‑R7 – thermoplastic 100R7 hose. Different outside diameter and crimp figure to braided hose.
• FS‑R14 – PTFE 100R14 hose with stainless braid.

Thread Standards

• JIC 37° Swivel Female – SAE J514 37° flare, seals on the 37° cone seat and swivels, so the hose is never wound up during assembly

How to Choose

• The bend is formed into the tail, so the angle is fixed. Decide which way the hose has to leave the port before you order – you cannot rotate it after it is crimped.
• Swept is a long, gentle radius. Compact turns in a much shorter space but works the hose harder. Use compact only where you genuinely have no room for a swept.
• Seals dry on the 37° cone.

Technicians Advice

Compact bends work the hose harder right at the ferrule, which is where assemblies fail. If a swept will fit, use the swept. Keep compact for the spots that genuinely will not take one.
