Our ENGMATTEC mixed service plug kit: ten yellow conical plugs in oil resistant rubber that seal hoses, pipes, valve ports and pump and motor openings during maintenance. One tapered plug covers a whole range of bore sizes, so you carry a handful instead of a box of fittings. No tools, push and twist to seal. Need more of one size, or bigger bores? How to choose
- Not sure what you will be working on: the ENGMATTEC mixed kit covers 1 to 42 mm.
- Doing a lot of hose and small port work: a Micro or Standard pack.
- Large pump suction ports, tank outlets and big pipe: X-Large or the Industrial XL.
Technicians Advice
These are the plugs to grab when a hose lets go on site and you need to stop the oil before anything else. Push and twist in one movement and the taper bites. Do not hammer them in: if the plug bottoms out in the bore it can be cut, and a sliver of rubber in a valve is a far bigger job than the one you started. If you trim a plug to fit a shallow port, leave enough outside the hole to get hold of it. They hold oil in during a repair, they are not for running the machine, so pull every one before you start up.
