How to choose

• Size is the UN/UNF thread of the fitting – 7/16"-20 takes the 7/16" ring, 3/4"-16 takes the 3/4" ring.
• UNO ports are common on US-built gear – pumps, valve blocks and cylinder ports.
• Adjustable (long-nut) fittings use the same ring but add a back-up washer – inspect it while you are in there.
• Not sure if the port is UNO or JIC? UNO seals at the port face with this ring; JIC seals on the 37° cone.

Technicians Advice

On adjustable UNO fittings, set your elbow orientation FIRST, then hold the fitting and pull the locknut down onto the washer and ring – winding the fitting after the nut is tight rolls the ring out of the chamfer and it will leak from day one. Oil the ring, run the fitting in until the ring touches, orient, then lock. If the port chamfer edge is nicked from a previous blow-out, dress it or the new ring will follow the old one.
