Diesel engines for pressure cleaners that run all day or live on a trailer. Diesel makes sense where fuel is already on site, where run hours are long, or where a petrol engine would be a fire or fume problem. Governed speed matters as much as horsepower - a 3,000 rpm engine and a 3,600 rpm engine of the same power will drive the same pump to different flow and pressure.

Check the shaft against your pump or gearbox before ordering, and remember diesel engines are heavier than the petrol equivalent, so a frame built for a GX may need reworking. All of these are electric start. If you are replacing an engine on an existing machine, take the pressure and flow off the machine plate rather than guessing from the pump size.
