The Brand EFC is an electronically controlled, proportional, pressure-compensated flow control valve designed for precise speed management of hydraulic functions. This US-made valve allows operators to adjust the flow rate from a cab-mounted potentiometer, making it ideal for spinning brushes, blades, or hydraulic motors.
Operating as a 3-port priority valve, it provides a constant flow out of the Controlled Flow (CF) port regardless of load variations. Any remaining flow is bypassed to the Excess Flow (EX) port, which can power an auxiliary circuit or return to the tank.
Constructed with a diamond-honed ductile cast iron body and heat-treated steel spools, the EFC series ensures consistent fit and low internal leakage. This valve includes a manual override for operation during electrical power loss.

Technician’s Advice: When installing the 3-port model, ensure the EX port is plumbed back to the tank if using the optional high-lift relief valve; otherwise, the relief function will not operate.
Standard units do not include an inbuilt relief valve, so verify your pump is protected. Note that heat is generated whenever flow is bypassed or restricted.
If your constant oil temperature exceeds 65 degrees Celsius, an oil cooler must be installed to protect your system components. For 2-port (2P) applications, a pressure-compensated pump is required to prevent "hunting" between the valve and pump.
