6 Port Diverter Selector Valve, Oil flows from 40 to 60 Lt/min, pressures to 3,000 PSI (200bar), 3/8" or 1/2" BSPP Ports, 12 or 24 Volt DC.

6 Port Hydraulic Diverters / Selector valves are a simple cost-effective way to add an additional alternative Hydraulic Function to a machine e.g. a double acting cylinder, Reversible drive motor or another valve.

The Basic Operation of a 6 port diverter/ selector valve is as follows.

• The valve has six Ports in the image above they are labeled P1 and P2, C and D, and A and B.
• With the Coil unenergised oil from the machine's valve, flows in and out of P1 and P2 and then through C and D to the normal function as was originally plumbed up. Ports and A and B remain Blocked.
• When the coil is energised (with a switch or Push button) Ports C and D are Blocked and P1 and P2 flows through to A and B Ports to operated another additional function.
• Please note; when making one function into two, only one function will work at a time.

Six port solenoid diverters allow two separate double-acting circuits to be controlled from one directional flow control valve. Valves can also be installed closer to where the new function is required thus saving in time and additional hose fittings and materials.

Closed Center means that any load or pressure held in the A, B, C,or D ports and is not allowed to leak out.
this also means that at Higher pressures A case drain is required to allow for spool seepage and easier changeovers.

An 'Open' centre diverter valve allows oil to flow between P1, P2, A, B, C, and D during the Valve Switch over period.
This can reduced Pressure spikes if oil is contiinuously flowing in and out of P1 and P2,
Open center also makes it easier for the Coil/Solenoid to change direction under higher pressures,
but at the risk of a small loss in oil pressure.

Specifications

• Comes with 3/8" or 1/2" BSPP ports flow 40 - 60 Lt/Min, at to 3000 PSI, 12 or 24 V DC solenoid coil Square plug with indicator light,
• P1 & P2 are pressure in, C & D are normally open functions, and A & B are the alternative function when solenoid coil is energised.
• The 3/8" ported model is with closed center model is capable of flowing 40 Lt/Min.
• The 1/2" ported model is with closed center model is capable of flowing 60 Lt/Min.
• If used with oil at less than 150 bar (2250 PSI) pressure then no case drain is required.
• It is capable of pressures up to 250 bar 3600 PSI.
• The 1/2" BSPP ported unit will flow up to 60 Lt/Min at a max of 315 bar / 4725 PSI pressure.
• For 3/8" ported Diverter Valves ,No case drain line up to 160 bar (2,400 psi)(, above this up to a maximum of 250 bar / 3750psi the case drain line must be connected.
• For 1/2" ported Diverter Valves , Case drain lines are required at all times.
  
• All diverter valves come with manual override should power fail.
• Designed to be used in applications where the flow and return from a control valve is used to operate two separate circuits.

• There is a 1/4" BSPP case drain port on the end or the side of the diverter specifically for this purpose.
• Case drain is for draining away any internal leakage, rather than pressurise the valve.
• Case drains must return directly to tank.
• For wiring, just use the two terminals opposite each other, ignore end terminal
• These divertors are also 'stackable' (see photos) . These means you could stack eg. 3 x 6 port diverters to achieve four different functions.
