A two-piece crimp-on fitting is two separate parts: this tail and a ferrule that crimps over the hose. The ferrule is not included. Use a stainless ferrule with a stainless tail.

Thread Standards

• BSP Swivel Female – BSPP thread with a 60° cone seat. The nut swivels, so it tightens onto a BSP male cone without winding anything up.

How to Choose

• First number is the hose bore, second is the thread. Size each separately.
• You also need a ferrule for each tail: the stainless swage ferrule that suits your hose.
• Angled tails set the direction the hose leaves the port. Decide that before you crimp, it cannot be turned afterwards.

Technicians Advice

Crimp stainless tails with stainless ferrules and use the crimp diameter for the stainless ferrule, not the steel one. Stainless springs back more than mild steel, so check the finished diameter with a vernier and adjust the die setting if you are reading high. Never mix a stainless tail with a plated ferrule on a boat: the two metals in salt water corrode the ferrule first.
