A torque wrench pump is not a jacking pump with a different sticker. Bolting needs a fast approach, a controlled squeeze and a precise, repeatable cut-off – which is why these run three stages instead of one, and why they carry an external regulator and a fitted gauge.

The pressure on the gauge is not torque. It becomes torque through the chart supplied with your specific wrench, so match the pump to the wrench, keep the chart with it, and re-check the chart after a wrench rebuild.

Two tool manifolds suit one operator. Four tool models earn their money on flange work where a gang runs opposite bolts together. Air driven versions are available for hazardous areas.
