Spin-On Filter Heads - 3/4" to 1-1/2" BSPP, Suction & Return, Single or Dual
Die-cast alloy mounting heads for standard spin-on filter cans. Bolt the head to the chassis or tank, plumb the ports, spin the can on. Every head has a 1/8" BSPT gauge port for a clogging indicator.
Pick by three things:
- Port size - 3/4" BSPP heads take our 4"/5" cans (CS050/CS070); 1-1/4" and dual 1-1/2" heads take the big 180/226mm cans (CS100/CS150).
- Line - SUCTION heads have a gentle 5psi bypass (tank-to-pump duty, mesh elements). RETURN heads have a 25psi bypass (oil going back to tank, fine elements).
- Single or dual - dual heads run two cans for double flow/capacity, in over-under or side-by-side layouts.

How to Choose
- Match the head to the can you plan to run - the can thread and micron choice live in our element listings (links below).
- Heads are sold BARE - grab the matching element in the same order, or buy a complete assembly from the element listings and save the head-hunting.
Technicians Advice
Mount the head with the can hanging DOWN where possible - it keeps the seal wet and makes changes mess-free. Use thread tape/sealant on the BSPT gauge port plug only, never on the can thread. Check the port arrows (IN/OUT are cast into the head) before plumbing - reversed flow holds the bypass open. Torque mounting bolts evenly; the head carries the full can weight on rough terrain.
