Metric Light (L) Male x Metric Light (L) Swivel Female 45° Compact Elbow

A DIN 2353 light-series 45° for European tube and hose work. Male 24° cone one end, swivel female the other, so an existing line can be turned without cutting and re-flaring tube.

Thread Standards

• Metric Light (L) Male – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, light series. It seals on the 24° cone, normally with an O-ring captured in the cone.
• Metric Light (L) Swivel Female – DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 24° cone, light series. It pulls onto the mating 24° cone and swivels so the tube is not twisted.

How to Choose

• Light (L) and Heavy (S) series share some thread sizes but use different tube diameters and pressure ratings. An L body in an S port is a leak waiting to happen.
• Metric 24° cone sizes are quoted by tube outside diameter, not by thread. A 12L fitting is for 12 mm tube.
• Check whether the cone carries an O-ring or is bare metal, and match it to the mating fitting.

• Metric Light (L) Male – European-built machinery – Liebherr, Wacker Neuson, Atlas, Sennebogen, Manitou – and imported tube assemblies. Light series suits return, drain and pilot lines.
• Metric Light (L) Swivel Female – European tube and hose assemblies on the lower-pressure side.

Technicians Advice

The swivel nut should spin freely by hand right up to contact. If it tightens early the cone is not aligned, so back it off and restart rather than forcing it. A cross-started 24° nut galls the cone and neither part is worth saving.
