Hydraulic Top Link Cylinders

A hydraulic top link replaces the screw top link on your 3 point linkage, so you can change implement pitch from the seat. Level a slasher, set the angle on a box scraper or grader blade, or tilt forks and buckets without climbing off the tractor.

How to choose

• Closed length: measure your screw top link pin to pin, fully wound in. Pick a cylinder with a similar closed length so the linkage geometry stays the same.
• Stroke: 8" suits most slashers and blades. 10" and 12" give more pitch range for box scrapers, rippers and grader work.
• Ends and pins: check the ball or pin size on your tractor's top link bracket (Category 1, 2 or 3) before you order.
• Hydraulics: a top link is double acting. It needs a double acting remote on the tractor and two hoses.

Technicians Advice

Fit the cylinder with the ports facing up and route the hoses so they cannot be pinched when the linkage lifts. If the implement creeps while you work, fit a pilot check valve so the cylinder holds its length with the lever in neutral.
