Clog gauge for Hydraulic oil Return filters or Suction / Vacuum gauges for Suction Filters and Strainers
With 1/8" BSPT threads for use with hydraulic oil filter heads.
The most common style of filter is a hydraulic oil return filter. You can confirm by checking if your hose from the filter is going back to your oil tank.
There will be an arrow somewhere on the filter head showing flow direction. This is where a Clog gauge is used.
The second less commonly used gauge is a Vacuum suction style gauge which reads vacuum in Hg.
These are only used if there is a suction filter or Strainer before your hydraulic pump.
