Hose Tail – SAE Code 62 Flange – 45° Swept – Two-Piece Crimp-On
A Code 62 high-pressure split flange head on a 45° swept crimp tail. Turns the hose 45° off a flanged pump or motor port where a straight tail would force a hard bend in the hose.
Two-piece crimp-on – how it goes together
This is the tail (stem) only. A two-piece assembly is the tail plus a separate ferrule crimped over the hose. Our FS-R2 Multi-Fit ferrule covers 1-wire, 2-wire, M3K and MXT braided hose, so one ferrule series does the lot and you stock half the parts.

How to choose
- The bend is formed into the tail, so the angle is fixed. Work out which way the hose needs to leave the port before you order, because you cannot rotate it afterwards.
- Code 62 is the higher-pressure standard. It has a different bolt pattern and a thicker head than Code 61 and the two do not interchange.
- The flange seals on an O-ring in the head face, clamped by four bolts. Nothing goes on the bolts.

Crimp diameters – 2026 chart (mm)
Crimp outside diameter in millimetres, measured across the flats after crimping, using the FS‑R2 Multi‑Fit ferrule. One ferrule series covers 1‑wire, 2‑wire, M3K and MXT braided hose.

Pressure‑wash hose 3/8" 6,000 psi crimps to 20.20mm on the FS‑R2‑06 ferrule.
Note: 1/4" M3K uses a one‑wire‑specific ferrule rather than the FS‑R2 – call 1300 146 737 and we will sort it.
Check the finished crimp with calipers at two points 90° apart and aim within ±0.1mm of the figure. Thermoplastic 100R7 and PTFE 100R14 hose crimp to different diameters on a different ferrule series – ask us before you crimp either onto these tails.

Pull the four flange bolts up evenly, in a cross pattern, in stages. At Code 62 pressures a head cocked on one corner does not just weep, it lets go. And check the hose still clears everything once the machine is through full travel.
