Hose Tail – SAE Code 61 Flange – 90° Swept – Two-Piece Crimp-On

A Code 61 split flange head on a 90° swept crimp tail. The usual pump and motor port connection when the hose has to turn square.

This is the tail only – ferrules are sold separately

A two-piece crimp-on assembly is two separate parts: this tail (the stem) and a ferrule that crimps over the hose. The ferrule is not included. You need one ferrule per tail.

We sell them separately on purpose. Several different ferrule styles will fit, and the right one depends on the hose you are crimping onto, not just the size:

• FS‑R2 Multi‑Fit – 1‑wire, 2‑wire, M3K and MXT braided hose. One series covers the lot, so most jobs take this.
• FS‑R7 – thermoplastic 100R7 hose. Different outside diameter and crimp figure to braided hose.
• FS‑R14 – PTFE 100R14 hose with stainless braid.

Thread Standards

• SAE Code 61 Flange – SAE J518 Code 61 standard-pressure split flange, seals on an O-ring captured in the flange head face, clamped by four bolts

How to Choose

• The bend is formed into the tail, so the angle is fixed. Decide which way the hose has to leave the port before you order – you cannot rotate it after it is crimped.
• Swept is a long, gentle radius. Compact turns in a much shorter space but works the hose harder. Use compact only where you genuinely have no room for a swept.
• Seals on the O-ring in the head face.

Technicians Advice

Support the hose near a 90° flange head. A big-bore hose hanging off a flange puts a constant side load into the port, and the port loses that argument eventually.
