A two-piece crimp-on assembly is two separate parts: this tail (the stem) and a ferrule that crimps over the hose. The ferrule is not included. You need one ferrule per tail.

We sell them separately on purpose. Several different ferrule styles will fit, and the right one depends on the hose you are crimping onto, not just the size:

• FS‑R2 Multi‑Fit – 1‑wire, 2‑wire, M3K and MXT braided hose. One series covers the lot, so most jobs take this.
• FS‑R7 – thermoplastic 100R7 hose. Different outside diameter and crimp figure to braided hose.
• FS‑R14 – PTFE 100R14 hose with stainless braid.

Thread Standards

• Metric Flat Face Swivel Female – metric thread with a flat sealing face, commonly the Chinese flat face pattern (e.g. M14x1.5), seals on an O-ring in the flat face, never on the thread

How to Choose

• A straight tail is the default. Only go to a bend when the hose would otherwise leave the port at an angle it does not like.
• It looks like ORFS but the thread is metric and the face diameters differ. Measure rather than assume.
• Seals on the O-ring in the flat face.

Technicians Advice

If an ORFS fitting almost threads on but binds, you are probably on a metric flat face. Stop before you damage either thread and check the callout.
