How to choose

• Code 61 is the standard-pressure series, Code 62 the 6000 psi series – they do not interchange.
• Match the flange size to the port, not the hose – the flange head sets the pattern.
• Replace the O-ring every time the joint is opened.

Technicians Advice

Flange joints live or die on even clamping: torque the bolts in a cross pattern in two or three stages, and never single-bolt a flange down to ‘get it started’ – a cocked flange head cuts the O-ring and you will chase that leak for a day. Seat the O-ring dry in its groove, keep the faces clean, and if a flange joint weeps, open it and inspect – more torque on a cut O-ring fixes nothing.
