Drain Cleaning Screwdriver Nozzle

The general purpose end of the drain range - standard DC and sewer heads by size, screwdriver nozzles for hard blockages, negotiators that get around bends other heads jam in, hydro-excavation heads, grease balls, sand spades and the Rotospin rotating heads. Plus the bullet blank and compressor adaptors that let one head run on different hose ends. All current stock.

Technicians Advice

Nozzle size on a jetter is the whole ballgame and most people get it from the previous head rather than the machine. Work it out properly once: the head is sized so that at your pump flow it develops the rated pressure, and if it is too big the pressure falls away and you get flushing without cutting, too small and the machine sits in bypass and heats the water until the pump seals go.

Write your correct size on the machine in marker so the next person does not guess.

On adaptors - the bullet blank and compressor adaptors exist so you can run a small head on a bigger hose end, and they are stainless for a reason. Do not substitute a brass plumbing fitting; at 5,000 psi in a line you cannot see, a failed adaptor means a loose head and a retrieval job.

Keep the heads in a box, not loose in the van. The jets are precision drilled and a head that has been rattling around in a toolbox with spanners will have burred jets and a wandering pattern.
