Diesel Reliability. Lower Running Costs.
When the job runs long and fuel costs matter, diesel wins. Our Yanmar L-Series diesel hydraulic power packs are built for extended duty cycles — farms, hire fleets, civil works, and remote industrial applications where petrol isn't the practical choice. Yanmar's proprietary direct injection technology delivers maximum power from minimum fuel, backed by one of the most trusted small diesel engine names in the world. Available in two engine sizes and two valve configurations — choose the combination that fits your application.
Why Yanmar L-Series?
|
⛽ Direct Injection Yanmar's proprietary FIE (Fuel Injection Equipment) system — one of the world's smallest miniaturised direct injection systems — extracts maximum power from every drop of diesel. Lower fuel consumption per hour than equivalent petrol engines. |
🔈 Low Vibration & Noise Precision balancers reduce vibration and noise to a level that allows comfortable operation during long work hours — a significant advantage over budget diesel engines in extended-duty applications. |
⚡ Easy Starting Yanmar's auto-return decompressor and efficient combustion system make recoil starting straightforward — even in cold conditions. Electric start is also standard on both the L70N and L100N, so there's no hard pulling on the job site. |
🌿 EPA Tier 2 Emissions compliant to EPA Tier 2 standards. Suitable for use in environmentally sensitive areas and applications where emissions compliance is a requirement of the contract or site specification. |
Who Uses This Unit?
|
🚗 Farmers & Rural Operators Diesel is the preferred fuel on most Australian farms — bulk storage, lower cost per litre, and longer run times between fills. Ideal for log splitters, post hole diggers, fence post drivers, workshop presses, and irrigation pumping across large properties. |
🏭 Hire Fleets & Industrial Hire companies favour diesel for its reliability, longer service intervals, and lower fuel cost per hour. Yanmar's commercial-grade construction means these units withstand the rough handling of hire fleet life and run all day without complaint. |
👷 Contractors & Civil Works Remote civil and infrastructure projects where diesel bulk supply is already on site. Extended run times without refuelling, lower operating costs over the life of the project, and no reliance on petrol logistics. |
Step 1 — Choose Your Engine Size
|
Yanmar L70N — 6.1hp / 8 LPM 6.1hp max (5.5hp continuous) @ 3,000 RPM — Suits light to medium duty applications The L70N delivers 8 LPM at 3,000 RPM — the right match for single-function hydraulic tools and equipment with moderate flow demand. Compact and lightweight (36kg recoil / 41kg electric start), it suits trailer mount, ute tray, or skid-frame installations where weight and space are a consideration.
Best for: log splitters, post drivers, compactors, single-function tools. |
Yanmar L100N — 8.8hp / 14.2 LPM 8.8hp max (7.7hp continuous) @ 3,000 RPM — Suits medium to heavy duty applications The L100N steps up to 14.2 LPM — significantly higher flow for faster cylinder cycle times, larger bore cylinders, or multi-function valve stacks. At 48.5kg (recoil) or 53.5kg (electric start), it's still a portable unit but delivers performance closer to a mid-range power pack.
Best for: rock breakers, larger bore cylinders, multi-function valve stacks, higher-demand applications. |
Step 2 — Choose Your Valve Configuration
|
Option A — P&T Ports Only Connect your own directional control valve Pressure and tank ports only — no valve fitted. Connect your own lever-operated monoblock or sectional directional control valve. The lower-cost base configuration, ideal when you already have a valve or prefer manual lever control. Best for:

Option B — Double Acting Cetop 3 Factory-fitted 12V DC solenoid valve included Includes a factory-fitted Cetop 3 double-acting solenoid valve (closed centre, 12V DC). Controlled via pendant switch or push-button — no lever required. Ideal for remote or stand-clear operation, or where the operator needs both hands free. Best for:

Tank upgrades available as cost-plus options: 21L, 22L, 30L, 38L. Additional sandwich valve spools available up to 3 spools total. Non-standard spool centres (Tandem, Open, Float, Single Acting) available on request. Contact us to discuss.
ℹ Port Standard — 9/16" UNO SAE6# (Read Before Ordering Hose)
All ports on this unit are 9/16" UNO (SAE6#) O-ring face seal standard. UNO ports use the same thread as JIC fittings but seal via an O-ring crushed into a face groove — not a 37° JIC flare seat. A JIC/UNO adaptor is required to connect standard JIC hose ends to these ports. For hose assemblies with BSPP ends, use a BSPP × JIC adaptor at the hose end plus a JIC/UNO adaptor at the port. See our JIC / UNO adaptor range for the fittings you need.⚠ Solenoid Voltage — 12V DC Only
The solenoid valve on the Double Acting variant operates on 12V DC only. These units run on the engine's own starting battery. 24V solenoids are not available and not compatible. Do not attempt to run 12V solenoids on 24V systems.⚠ Tank Installation — Warranty Condition
The oil reservoir must be properly supported and isolated against vibration and mechanical stress during installation. Improper mounting that allows the tank to flex, vibrate unsupported, or bear external load will void the tank warranty. Ensure the tank is correctly mounted and braced before operating the unit.Freight — Australia-Wide Delivery
