Included Accessories:

  • 3-phase electric motor, bell housing, drive couplings, and quality gear pump.
  • Powder-coated steel tank (blue) with a (white) lid and gasket.
  • Pump suction strainer.
  • Tank-top oil distribution manifold with pressure relief valve set to 140 bar.
  • 200 bar stainless steel liquid-filled pressure gauge.
  • 10-micron tank-top oil return filter.
  • Filler breather strainer.
  • Oil level indicator with built-in temperature monitor.
  • All internal hose and connections pre-installed.

How to Select the Right Hydraulic Power Unit


1. Understanding Flow Rate, Pressure, and Motor Power

  • Flow Rate (L/min) – Determines cylinder / actuator speed and or a hydraulic motor's RPM.
  • Pressure (Bar/PSI) – Defines the force and or torque generated.
  • Power (kW/HP) – The electric motor must meet flow and pressure demands.

Formula: kW = (Flow x Pressure) ÷ (600 x Pump Efficiency)


Example: A flow rate of 10 L/min at 150 bar requires approximately 3.0 kW (assuming 85% pump efficiency).


2. Choosing the Right Pump Type

  • Gear Pumps – Compact, cost-effective, reliable, and ideal for moderate pressure applications (30-200 bar).
    All our units use gear pumps.
  • Vane Pumps – More efficient and quieter; ideal for smooth, consistent flow.
  • Piston Pumps – High efficiency, suitable for high-pressure applications (150-420 bar).


3. Selecting the Correct Pump Displacement

Formula: Displacement (cc/rev) = (Flow Rate in L/min × 1,000) ÷ (Motor RPM)

Example:

  • 1,400 RPM motor with 20 Lt/min flow = (20 Lt/min x 1,000) / RPM 1,400 = Pump displacement = 14.3 cc/rev.
  • 2,800 RPM motor with 20 Lt/min flow → (20 Lt/min x 1,000) / RPM 2,800 Pump displacement = 7.1 cc/rev.


4. Choosing the Right Tank Size

  • Oil storage: The tank should be 2-3 times the flow rate for optimal operation.
  • Heat dissipation: Larger tanks help prevent overheating.
  • Custom options: Choose from various tank sizes and materials.
