Wet sandblasting runs abrasive through the high pressure jet, so you strip paint, rust and coatings without the dust cloud of dry blasting and without needing a compressor. The head draws media by venturi from a hopper or a bucket. Tungsten carbide and Widia tipped heads for life, complete kits with hose if you are starting from nothing. All current stock.

Two things decide whether wet blasting works for you. First, the media. Wet blasting wants a graded, dense abrasive - garnet is the standard for a reason. Beach sand, builders sand or anything with fines in it will pack in the venturi, stop drawing, and you will spend the day poking the pickup instead of blasting. It also contains free silica, which is a genuine health issue even wet. Second, the head is a consumable no matter what it is tipped with. The abrasive is deliberately harder than what you are removing, and it does not know the difference between rust and the inside of your nozzle. Budget for tips, check the bore against a new one every so often, and stop using a head once the pattern goes soft - a worn head just throws media everywhere and cuts nothing. Also: wet blasting soaks everything within about ten metres in abrasive slurry. Mask off, and think about where the runoff goes before you start, because garnet in a stormwater drain is a conversation with the council.
