How to choose
- A plug fills a female port or fitting; a cap covers a male end. Male thread showing = you need a cap; open hole = you need a plug.
- Measure the thread outside diameter and match it to the size column – the dash number in brackets is the thread size in 1/16ths of an inch.

Technicians Advice
Countersunk boss plugs still seal on the O-ring, not the thread – the flush face is just packaging. Chase the port chamfer clean before fitting: a score across the chamfer leaks identically to a cut O-ring and gets misdiagnosed every time.
