The threads below are the most common in Australia. However, there are a lot more uncommon types that do crop up. Attached in 'download files' (you must click buy first, free, & then you can download) are three excellent thread charts. The Hydraulic.Online thread chart which is perfect for identifying any thread type used in Hydraulics. The Ryco one is excellent in that it covers almost all available thread types. If you own a Komatsu machine, check JIS Metric, if you have Chinese made tractors etc, be very careful. As well as visually checking, you must carefully measure. They use BSP Flat Face, JIS BSP, & Metrics. Forklifts & car hoists are also worth taking time to double-check.

For high pressure larger hoses, often Flange fittings are used. Code 61 & Code 62. Whilst these look the same, the sizes & bolt holes differ.
