1/2" inch (5010 female and 5020 male)
3/4" inch (size 7510 female & 7520 male)
Hydraulic quick connect Couplers with Locking Ring to prevent accidental disconnect from knock and rocks.
Interchangeable and compatible with; Tema series, Stucchi IRH , CEJN 525, DNP PTV
Direct Replacement for
TEMA 3810 (female) and 3820 (male)
TEMA 10010 (female) and 10020 (male)
Used extensively in industrial and mobile applications. It features a manually operated locking sleeve for extra security.
The STAUFF Germany Models are also fitting with a micro decompression valves to allow for easier connections when there is residual pressure in the lines.
Male and female halves are made from high strength heat treated steel for extra durability
Max Oil Flow,
Max Pressures,
In the hydraulic world, Tema is the "gold standard" for high-flow, high-durability applications, particularly in the transport and mobile machinery sectors.
| Industry | Application | Why Tema? |
| Transport | Tipper trucks, "Truck and Dog" setups. |
High vibration resistance; the locking ring prevents "back-off" on rough Australian roads.
|
| Agriculture | Tractors, harvesters, and air seeders. |
Massive flow capacity is required for hydraulic motors and large cylinders.
|
| Mining/Construction | Excavator attachments, hydraulic hammers. |
Durability against dust and heavy impact; ease of connection under pressure.

1. Key Types & Series
Tema couplings are categorised primarily by their valve design and specialised features:
The T-Series (Standard) This is the most recognizable Tema coupling. It uses a poppet valve design and is famous for its "Gold" (brass) or steel finish.
Design: Characterized by a double O-ring and Backing Ring seal and a safety locking ring to prevent accidental disconnection.
Performance: Offers one of the highest flow rates with the lowest pressure drop in the industry.
Pressure: Rated typically between 200 bar (2,900 psi) for larger sizes and 450 bar (6,500 psi) for smaller ones.
Optional Pressure Eliminator: (PE) Version Residual pressure in a hydraulic line can make a standard coupling impossible to connect.
What's the Function of the Pressure Eliminator: Uses a patented micro-valve to bleed off static pressure, allowing the operator to connect the coupling by hand even when the line is pressurised.
Identification: Usually denoted by a part number ending in "1" (e.g., T5011 instead of T5010).
Tema as often preferred over cheaper "ISO-A" style couplings in Australia because it handles the harsh heat and dust conditions better due to its double type seal design.
3. International Adoption
Internationally, Tema is the dominant "European Profile" coupling.
Europe: It is the standard for European truck and trailer manufacturers (e.g., Volvo, Scania, Mercedes-Benz).
Interchangeability: While Tema has its own unique profile, many manufacturers (like Stucchi, Cejn, and Stauff) produce "Tema-Interchange" couplings because the design is so widely adopted.
Standards: They exceed international standards like ISO 7241-1 series B in terms of flow performance, making them a "performance upgrade" rather than just a commodity part.
4. Why Use Tema?
(Pros & Cons)
Pros:
Flow Rate: Significantly higher flow than standard ISO-A couplings.
Safety: The manual locking sleeve is a "must-have" for safety-critical applications.
Longevity: Dual-sealing systems mean they last longer before weeping or leaking.
Cons:
Cost: Generally more expensive than standard "Agricultural style" couplings.
Compatibility: Tema do not connect with standard ISO-A or ISO-B couplings;
you must have a Tema male and a Tema female.
