Swivel Foot Mount for AG Hydraulic Cylinder Rods, 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" UNF Thread

A ball swivel that screws onto the rod in place of the clevis. Weld a foot plate of your own size to the bottom and the ball lets the plate sit flat on uneven ground. It is the part you want for stabiliser legs, outriggers, jacking legs and anything that pushes down onto dirt or a slope.

How to choose

• Match the rod thread: 1-1/4" UNF for 2" to 4" bores, 1-1/2" UNF for 5" bores.
• Size your foot plate for the ground. Soft ground needs a bigger plate to stop the leg sinking.
• See the dimension drawing in the photos before you design the plate.

Technicians Advice

Weld the foot plate to the lower half with the ball assembly out of it, then let it cool before you put it together. Heat near the ball and the grease will cook and the seat can distort. Tack it square, weld it in short runs and keep the plate flat. Once it is together, pack it with grease. A swivel foot is not meant to take side load while the cylinder is extending, so keep the leg near vertical when it takes the weight.
